Lok Suraaj Abhiyan : Rs 30 crore will be sanctioned for plantation in Janjgir-Champa district this year : Dr Raman Singh
1.86 lakh LPG connections and 36 thousand houses to be alloted in the district
Raipur, 18 May 2017 - Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has announced sanction of Rs 30 crore for plantation in Janjgir-Champa district this year. This includes sanction of Rs 10 crore from Hariyar Chhattisgarh funds, Rs 10 crore from CAMPA funds and Rs 10 crore under MNREGA.
Today afternoon, while addressing the media representatives, Chief Minister informed that Janjgir-Champa is one of the districts of state with lowest plantations. As a result of State Government's Hariyar Chhattisgarh Abhiyaan, the percentage of plantation in Janjgir-Champa district has increased from 4 to 5.16 per cent. He also informed that to solve drinking water supply problem of Janjgir, officials concerned have been directed to chalk out proposal for new drinking water scheme. During review of Janjgir-Champa district, it was found that under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, there is a target of distributing 1.86 lakh LPG gas connections in one district, informed Chief Minister. Likewise, 36 thousand beneficiaries will be provided housing facility under Prime Minister Housing Scheme.
