Chief Minister continues with the tour under Lok Suraaj despite Orange Alert : Dr Sing pays surprise visit to Tarkori-Jagmahan and meets villagers at Chaupal
Rs 10 lakh sanctioned for event venue hall in Tarkori, Ultra Modern Farms in rural Durg
Raipur, 17 May 2017 - Despite the Orange Alert from Metreological Department and scorching heat of 47 degree temperature, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh's tour under Lok Suraaj Abhiyan is going on uninterrupted. Dr Singh today paid surprise visit to village Jamgahan (Bilaigarh block) of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district and village Tarkori (Dhamdha block) of Durg district. In chaupals of both the villages, he paid patient hearing to the grievances of villagers and talked to them about their requirements.
Dr Singh also took information about advanced farming methods being used in village Tarkori of Dhamdha block. He visited the farms and saw the cultivation of cucumber and other vegetables in shade net. Chief Minister was satisfied to see farmers of Chhattisgarh using advanced methods for farming of vegetables. Dr Singh also went to Gaushala in Tarkori village, where he took information about the how the cattles are being taken care of. He also fed jaggery to a calf.
Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 10 lakh for construction of function hall in Tarkori and also declared sanction of Rs eight lakh for construction of cc-road in two wards there. In the chaupal, he said that canal will be constructed from Pandey Pond near the village to provide irrigation facility to farmers. Chief Minister also announced installation of solar pump in two places of Tarkori for facilitating drinking water supply. On receiving the complaint about irresponsible attitute of local panchayat secretary in implementation of government schemes in Tarkori, Chief Minister directed the Collector to take necessary action against the employee concerned as per the rules.
