One Hundred Thousands ITI Trained Manpower

More than one lakh youth provided training in ITIs till date
Raipur, 2 April 2016 -  After formation of Chhattisgarh state, 44 ITIs in 13 districts of state had capacity of training only five thousand 960 youth. From year 2003, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, State Government made it a priority to enhance pace of development.

Raipur, 2 April 2016 -  Keeping in view the need for accommodation facility for students, State Government has decided to build boys hostel of 100-seat capacity. Rs 2.54 crores have been provisioned for the same in the budget of fiscal year 2016-17.

Raipur, 2 April 2016 - Vice-Chancellor of Pt. Sundarlal Sharma Open University, Bilaspur Dr Bansh Gopal Singh paid courtesy call on Governor Mr. Balramji Das Tandon today at Rajbhavan and invited him for presiding over the first convocation ceremony of the university.

Convocation ceremony is proposed next month some time in May.

Governor is also Chancellor of all universities.

Raipur, 02 April 2016 - Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh on Friday sanctioned a  Community building for the Utkal Gaada Samaj in the capital. He was attending State-level Utkal Diwas function organized by the Utkal Gaada Samaj at the Subhash Stadium premises. Dr. Raman Singh called upon the samaj members to select a site. The State Government will sanction the project as early as possible.

College auditorium construction fund allocated

Raipur, 1 April 2016 - State Government has decided to build auditorium in Government Post Graduation College Bhatapara and Rajnandgaon for co-curricular activities.

Rs one crore has been provisioned in the budget in fiscal year 2016-17.

The auditorium in college is must have tool for extracurricular activity and research events.

The activities and events in auditorium is funded by government, UGC and other institutions.

Entry Fee Hike in International Swimming Pool

New management membership fee is Rs 1000 per month and Rs 30 for aplication form.

Raipur Municipal Corporation owned International Swimming Pool is popular destination for common public to enjoy and work out in water. Now public has to pay more bucks to get entry in the hottest swimming destination in city.

The swimming pool fee is raised from INR 750 to Rs 1000 monthly.

The existing members also have to pay the hiked pool fee.

Post Graduation facility added in 14 Chhattisgarh colleges

14 Government colleges of graduation-level in state upgraded
Raipur, 1 April 2016 - Higher Education Minister Mr. Prem Prakash Pandey informed today that 14 graduation-level government colleges of Chhattisgarh have been upgraded to post-graduation level. Rs three crores have been provisioned for this in the budget of fiscal year 2016-17.

Malnutrition combat by government yielding good results

87, 000 children pulled out of malnourishment : Rs 17 cr allocated for fiscal 2016-2017
Raipur, 01 April 2016 - About 87 thousand children have been pulled out of malnourishment by the 'Nava Jatan Yojana' of the State Women and Child Development Department. The scheme is playing a crucial role in eliminating malnourishment in recent years. The Budget allocated to the scheme is Rs 17 crore for the year 2016-2017. The Union Government had appreciated the implementation of the Yojana many times and it has been included in the Best Practices.
