Raipur, 11 July 2017 - Medicinal plants conservation area will be developed on nearly 200 hectare (500 acre) area near famous tourist spot 'Jatmai', in Gariband district near capital city Raipur, known for its natural beauty and religious significance. Chhattisgarh State Medicinal Plant Board Chairman Mr. Ram Singh inaugurated the project by planting a sapling of medicinal plant, in a plant organized at Jatmai on the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima.
Union Skills' Development Minister Mr. Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that Industrial Training Institutes (I.T.Is) will be opened on the lines of Kendriya Vidyalayas (K.Vs). Mr. Rudy was reviewing the functioning of State Skills' Development Department along with Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. The Union Minister revealed that the authorities had decided to brand I.T.Is. The main aim is to popularize the institutes. For the first time in 68 years Logo had been made for ITIs.
On the occasion of third international yoga day, Chhattisgarh state has set a unique world record today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. Nearly 50 lakh people of state practiced yoga with Chief Minister at the same time in different places. In nearly 11 thousand different places of the state, school students, old people, youth, women and people from all sections of society enthusiastically came together to practice yoga.
