Chief Minister sanctions Rs One crore for repairs of canal at Pootpoota 'choupal' : Dr. Raman Singh lauds schools kids for reciting poems, mathematical tables
Raipur, 06 May 2017 - Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today landed at village Pootpoota (Development block-Pandaria) district Kabirdham as a part of 'Lok Suraaj' mission. He conducted 'choupal' under the sylvan surroundings of village trees. Dr. Raman Singh spoke to villagers and school children. The news of arrival of Chief Minister spread like wildfire and citizens from the surrounding villages particularly farmers came in large numbers to ventilate their demands.
Dr. Raman Singh appreciated the efforts of school children for reciting poems, mathematical tables and numerical. Several children recited 28, 29 and 30 mathematical tables. Chief Minister sanctioned Rs One crore for the repairs of a village canal on the requests of the gathering. The canal originates from the stop dam built at river Aaagaar. The farmers in large numbers will benefit after the completion of canal repair works. He sanctioned three hand-pumps at Pootpoota. He also announced levelling of sports maidan at Pootpoota, extension of electricity supply before the onset of monsoons.
Chief Minister added that Food Department will conduct a camp in the village and provide free domestic gas connections to 30 women under the Prime Minister 'Ujjwala' mission. He elicited details from the gathering regarding Tendupatta procurement. He called upon the Forest Department officials to see bundles of Tendupatta had exactly 100 leaves no more and no less. Pandaria MLA Mr. Motiram Chandrawanshi and Chief Secretary Mr. Vivek Dhand were also present at the village 'choupal'.
